The UAE offers something for everybody to enjoy and along with the famous landmarks you can be sure that a range of theme parks and activities for the young in body and in spirit. 

The UAE receives around 20 million tourists a year with forecasts predicting growth for the coming years. Currently the in the UAE around 12% of GDP is accounted for by tourism and if predictions ring true we could see an additional 5% increase of GDP share by 2027!  It certainly is opening up tot he world and the number of fantastic attractions and landmarks just continues to grow alongside the world class events hosted annually. 

UAE Etiquette for tourists. 

As with all countries there are cultural and ethnic "Do´s and Don't´s" to bear in mind whilst enjoying the wonders of the UAE. Below are some top tips for visiting the UAE and relaxing without causing offence or incurring penalties from authorities. 

PDA is an abbreviation that is quite common in UAE, it means Public Display of Affection. you may encounter signs announcing that PDA is not allowed so we can list this as a priority and something to be aware of at all times. 

  1.  Avoid any forms of PDA including kissing, hugging and holding hands. 
  2. Dress appropriately and conservatively.
  3. Do not swear or use bad language.
  4. Don't greet people using your left hand.
  5. Always ask permission if taking photos of others or infront of others. 
  6. Avoid carrying all medicines with you and before travel do check the medicines you currently use with a UAE official to confirm local restrictions.
  7. Drive calmly and avoid offensive body language whilst driving. 
  8. Avoid public eating during Ramadan
  9. Always show respect for the Royal Family
  10. Avoid public drinking and dancing.
  11. Cross dressing is not permitted. 
  12. Unmarried "encounters" or hotel stays are not permitted.
