Below you’ll find a selection of suggested BVI sailing itineraries, based on local knowledge and real charter routes. These itineraries are flexible and can be adapted depending on charter duration, weather conditions and your personal preferences.
Arrive in the BVI via St. Thomas or Beef Island Airport and board your yacht at Soper’s Hole. Settle onboard, enjoy a welcome drink and spend your first evening relaxing in calm waters. Sleep aboard or begin sailing the following morning.
Sail to Norman Island, one of the most iconic destinations in the BVI. Spend the day snorkelling at The Caves and The Indians, explore underwater rock formations and enjoy lunch at Pirate’s Bight or a visit to the famous Willy T. Overnight in the sheltered anchorage at The Bight.
Continue to Cooper Island, a peaceful eco-friendly stop. Snorkel at Cistern Point, relax at the Cooper Island Beach Club and enjoy the island’s restaurant, rum bar and brewery. Mooring balls are recommended here. Overnight in calm, protected waters.
Sail to Virgin Gorda and visit The Baths, one of the Caribbean’s most famous natural attractions. In the afternoon, head toward Leverick Bay or the North Sound area, where you’ll find marinas, restaurants and beautiful surroundings. Optional visit to Coco Maya in Spanish Town.
Make the longer sail to Anegada, the BVI’s only coral island. Spend the day exploring by taxi or scooter, relaxing at Loblolly Bay or Cow Wreck Beach, snorkelling at Flash of Beauty, and enjoying a famous Anegada lobster dinner ashore. Overnight near the reef in crystal-clear waters.
Sail back west toward Jost Van Dyke. Stop at Sandy Spit or Sandy Cay before anchoring at White Bay. Enjoy swimming, beach time and a visit to the Soggy Dollar Bar. In the evening, move to Great Harbour for dinner and live music at Foxy’s.
Enjoy a final morning swim or snorkel before returning to Soper’s Hole. Spend time shopping, relaxing or enjoying lunch ashore before disembarkation.
Ideal for guests with limited time who still want to experience the most iconic BVI destinations.
